Opera Quarter Bar

The Opera Quarter Bar has now closed in it’s current location; we have new plans ahead, so keep posted to find out where we pop-up again.

Open for a short period only, the Opera Quarter Bar, showcasing the world’s leading bartenders, designers, artists and musicians is THE London destination for Summer 09.
The aim was to create an exciting inclusive bar in central London which offers the same,  if not better, level of service than the most exclusive members club. Think posh squat party for the many Londoners unable to go abroad this year.
In keeping with this spirit prices are not inflated and there’s always something happening whether its moonlighting DJ and acoustic sets from top band members on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons or guest Bar Star Sets from the world’s leading mixologists on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Food & Drink

Drink menus celebrate the cocktail covering different decades/themes including  Tiki, Disco, Hollywood Glam etc plus Douglas’s top ten best creations including his world famous Porn Star Martini.

Drinks must be accompanied by food.

The Opera Quarter Bar & Supper Club serves a choice of menus either Japanese or Modern European menus daily from Midday. The menus come from our sister Opera Quarter restaurants Hi Sushi and Le Cafe du Jardin where they are made fresh to order and then brought round.

Douglas Ankrah

Douglas Ankrah (multi award winning co founder of Lab, Townhouse and author of ‘Shaken & Stirred: Douglas Ankrah’s Cocktails’) has brought together a collaboration of talented friends to create a truly superior bar.

Roberto Valle

Running the bars Manager Roberto Valle (ex Whiskey Mist & Trader Vics).

Lincoln Hall

Lincoln Hall (ex Zuma) is Guest Relations Manager and will be here to ensure everyone has a good time.

Watch This Space

Art Curators Lee Johnson and Bakul Patki aka ‘Watch This Space’a will be using the space to exhibit work from a selection of exciting contemporary Artists.

Dtwo

Dave Knight and Dom Taylor from dtwo are responsible for creating an exciting and comfortable space using the Georgian features such as wooden panelling and open fire places but giving them a twist, introducing contemporary art and design to create stunning juxtapositions.

Mark Beaumont

Mark Beaumont is an NME columnist, DJ, promoter and author and will be bringing his canny musical ear to the sounds of Opera Quarter Bar. He’ll oversee celebrity DJ sets every Wednesday providing a VIP atmosphere to a free-for-all bar, and curate acoustic sets from the best up-and-coming acts in the country every Sunday.
