The Opera Quarter Bar and Supper Club (OQB) – the temporary food, art, music and mixology venue in Covent Garden – closes in its present site on 11 August (last day 10 August) so be sure to come down and visit us before we go.  We have two last events to celebrate, please find info below.  Hopefully see you there. Pimms Summer Party at OQB
Thursday 6 august midday to 1230am. 13-15 Tavistock Street, London WC2E 7PS
Come and join us for delicious jugs of Pimms made by famous mixologists and an indoor picnic. Entry is free and its Pimms o’clock all day whether it rains or shines. Free entry.

Hendricks Gin Vintage Sunday at OQB
Sunday 9 august 4pm to 1130pm 15 tavistock street.  Join us for our final Sunday with jazz and retro tunes, all day food and a special Hendricks cocktail. Bring a book or hat to swap you can even enjoy a little vintage dress up with clothes hair and make up styling, old film screenings and interactive art if you’re feeling adventurous. Free entry.

Banksy has joined us! He’s not actually in the building (or is he, he could be that bloke at the bar?) but he is now a neighbour with his Please Love Me 10 Years of Banksy Exhibition round the corner at the Flower Cellars, 4-6 Russel Street. Its open 10am to 8pm 15-25 July. So lovers of contemporary art can easily come and check out both him and us whilst enjoying a cocktail or too along the way.

Open at midday for traditional Sunday brunch serving an extensive special Sunday Bloody Mary menu along with our choice of Japanese tapas or Modern European menus.
As the afternoon progresses into evening, true vintage vibes with live music, film screenings and fashion displays. Chill out to Jazz tunes from the likes of Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald and some very special guests performing live acoustic and DJ sets. Names lined up include fabulous DJ duet the Broken Hearts, Mike O’Hara and Harry Waters Jazz Quartet.

Art Curators Lee Johnson and Bakul Patki aka ‘Watch This Space ( www.watch-this-space.org) will be using the space to exhibit work from a selection of exciting contemporary Artists.

This will be the inaugural show for Watch This Space, whose mission is to encourage creativity in these challenging times.  Artists confirmed so far are photographers Nick Cunard, Ilaria Conte, Hazel Atashroo and Sky Sharrock (in collaboration with shoe designer Kitty Cooper), painter Sarah Kate Wilson, Multimedia Artist Monkey Punch III, Illustrators Susie Wright and Izzie Klingels, and fine artists Sohrab and Ann-Marie James.
